Migration approach
Arinco assessed the existing environment and designed a structured migration strategy to handle over 300 SharePoint sites. The approach addressed complex content structures, including custom lists, libraries and workflows, ensuring accurate migration while minimising disruption. Permissions and content were migrated seamlessly, enabling near-zero end-user downtime throughout the transition.
Automation and standardisation
To reduce manual effort and improve consistency going forward, Arinco implemented automated site provisioning using Azure Automation and Logic Apps. This included scripting site creation, applying standardised layouts and enforcing consistent permission models across the environment. These automations ensured governance was embedded from the outset while significantly accelerating deployment times.
Modern capabilities and enablement
Arinco introduced modern SharePoint Online capabilities and developed Power Automate flows to streamline business processes. This provided JASANZ with improved tools for collaboration, workflow automation and ongoing platform management, enabling both IT teams and end users to operate more efficiently.
